The Estate

The Laurentian Lake Estate is the family retreat of America's best builders.This is a place established on a strong foundation that is perfect for new beginnings and is now availible for rent. The Property

There are over 100 acres of verdant land covered with birch, maple, and conifer trees. There is an abundance of wild flowers and fauna. The magnificent principal residence faces west on Baie Champagne with approximately 2,000 feet of waterfront property and a private sandy beach. There is a log cottage suitable for accommodating several guests, affording visitors warm, sunny afternoons and spectacular panoramic Canadian sunsets. Throughout the estate there are several paths and walking trails providing venues for hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and trail biking.

   

The Residence

A team of world class architects and planners worked in concert with the regions professionals and master craftsmen to create this estate. The home is a traditional Great Lodge, constructed of natural materials, including antique post and beams, stone, cedar, copper roofing, and Adirondack twig work. The center hall foyer leads to a sumptuous great room with a 37' high cathedral ceiling. The post and beam construction frames the panoramic view of Lac Nominingue. A large dining room overlooks the great room and adjoins a screened porch. An open gourmet kitchen is complete with "double" commercial appliances, indoor grill and hand made cabinetry. There is a first floor master bedroom suite complete with twin bathrooms and jacuzzi overlooking the gardens and lake. The master suite contains a raised paneled library that is convenient to the foyer and provides additional privacy to the bedchamber.

The second floor contains five additional bedchambers with dramatic views and private bathrooms. In addition there are two nurseries, and a second floor laundry. The guestrooms are conveniently arranged around a dramatic loggia overlooking the great room. The home has a large plenair-sleeping porch with panoramic views of the lake and forest at the tree level. All porches are fully screened and enclosed by operable glass panels. The lower level accommodates "The Captain's Grog," an excellent recreation room and Rathskeller, complete with wide screen theatre, fireplace, surround sound system, billiard table. and built in wet bar.

   

The Guest Cabin

The estate has a delightful guest cabin, constructed of large native logs that can be rented as a seperate unit or with the main house. There is a first floor master suite. bathroom, and library with stone fireplace. The main floor contains a large great room with cathedral ceiling. The second floor contains two additional bedchambers, bath, and den.

   

Addition Amenities

Beautiful Lac Nominingue is environmentally protected by the municipality and property owners' association. It is a natural habitat for trophy quality fish and is perfect for a wide variety of water sports including swimming, sailing, water skiing and boating. It has limited access and principally reserved for the enjoyment of the property owners. The estate has a best of class tennis court situated within an area of horticultural bliss. The surface is constructed of lawn turf used extensively in intercollegiate competition and described as "the most playable" of all surfaces.
Spooky Rockis a small campsite, accessible through the estate's many pathways that is perfect for bon fires and creating memorable moments. The estate has a professional docking area that can accommodate several watercraft, complete with a best of class barrel back Chris-Craft wood runabout. Other activities include bicycling. cross country skiing, hiking, snow skiing, rollerblading. snowmobiling and dog sledding. The estate adjoins the Parc Lineaire (Le Petit Train du Nord) paved trail system that provides opportunities for participation in these activities.

The Laurentian Lake Estate is situated on the shore of Lac Nominingue within Baie Champagne, just of Route 117, approximately 2 hours north of Montreal Quebec, Canada.
